Physiotherapist - Hospital - Ambulatory Care
We are currently seeking a level 3 physiotherapist to cover a 12 week locum role for a hospital in the Murrumbidgee region of NSW. The position is full time and is to commence asap. Accommodation will also be provided for the duration of the contract.
Under the direction of the Physiotherapy Manager the Level 3 Physiotherapist is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of ambulatory Physiotherapy services. Areas of responsibility include musculoskeletal injuries, chronic diseases and fracture clinic. The position requires a high level of broad generalist knowledge to enable them to work across a wide range of clinical areas and may be required to cover other areas of the service.
Key Accountabilities : Lead and coordinate the development, implementation and ongoing evaluation of physiotherapy services to the emergency department, ambulatory and chronic care clinical settings at the hospital. Provide expert musculoskeletal assessment and interventions for people accessing the Physiotherapy Service ambulatory clinics Participate in the chronic care assessments and interventions for people accessing the Physiotherapy service Ensure effective collaboration with medical practitioners in the local area, specialist doctors and general practitioners Identify and act upon opportunities in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team members and other service providers in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for the Physiotherapy service Provide high level advice concerning further development of the Physiotherapy ambulatory clinics to the management team Lead the ambulatory Physiotherapy service in the collection, monitoring and reporting of key performance indicators, clinical indicators and other required reporting of the service For further information or to express your interest please contact Anitha Kalkura at Medacs healthcare on 02 8248 2971.
