Community Support Worker â€“ Home Support Services
Position Summary Home Support Services provide a range of Domestic Assistance, Personal Care, Respite, Social Support and Property Maintenance services to the frail aged, disability clients and their carers with the aim of helping our clients to remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible. The service offers 24-hour support to some clients and at times a requirement to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays will be required. This will be negotiated between the employee and Home Support Services Coordinator.
Position Responsibilities The following outlines the key duties required at each Band Level. Whilst performing any of these tasks the worker will provide social and emotional support and monitoring by: â€¢ Communicating with the client in a sensitive and appropriate way â€¢ Providing attention to and being aware of the well-being of the client â€¢ Reporting to the Rostering Officer any significant changes in the health or social circumstances of the client Additional non-client specific duties will include attendance at scheduled supervision sessions (either group or individual), Unit meetings and training..
