Planning and Performance is the central point for the provision of strategic information to decision makers from across the University. The team is responsible for obtaining, manipulating, organising and analysing data from across the University into meaningful, integrated and user-friendly data assets, reports, and business insights. To facilitate this, the team is responsible for managing the University’s central data warehouse and for delivering from this a range of management reporting options to University decision makers.

The team also provides University data users with support, training and materials to ensure the accurate, appropriate and ethical use of University data assets. As Data Warehouse ETL Developer you work within the Business Intelligence Team in the Planning and Performance Unit contributing to the design of data storage models and data flow processes into, through and out of CDU’s data warehouse in accordance with the Business Intelligence roadmap, and are responsible for the planning and development of the extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) of data for the University’s Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing program. Your role will also involve analysis which underpins the conversion of business requirements to a functional data model for reporting and analytics.

Your previous experience with dimensionally modelled Data Warehouse environments and ETL / the building of system and data integration using data integration tools will strengthen your application. You will be a skilled communicator, with the ability to convey complex technical ideas effectively to technical and business analysts, and to effectively interpret the requirements of business analysts. To be successful you require a relevant degree-level qualification, preferably in computing or information systems and significant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
