Clinical Nurse Consultant (Hepatitis C)



The Hepatitis Service provides clinical and educational support to clients exposed to Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C. The professional multidisciplinary team aims to assist people with Viral Hepatitis to improve their health and wellbeing. The Hepatitis Service provides information and education to individuals about prevention and detection of viral hepatitis, referral advice for partients and practitioners, counselling and support, lifestyle recommendations and pharmacological management of these conditions.

Predominantly an outpatient service, the continuum of care extends to hospital inpatients and outreach clients within the custodial environment. The role of the Clinical Nurse Consultant, as a member of the multidisciplinary team, is to provide leadership, support, research and education to ensure the co-ordination of comprehensive, individualised, quality care to patients utilising the Hepatitis Service and their families. Generous remuneration package value up to $140,711 p.

a. comprising salary range of $113,261 to $122,964 p.a.

(Nurse Grade 7), 17.5% leave loading, 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

We are seeking a candidate who has: The ability to lead and manage the delivery of evidence-based nursing care in the specialty area of Hepatitis C. Sound knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory.

Ability to integrate the strategic direction and priorities for quality improvement into the clinical service, establishing a quality framework. Mandatory Requirements: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent. Registration with AHPRA.
