About The Client Our client Fetta's Greek Taverna located in Cairns, QLD is a very popular Greek restaurant that serves authentic Greek cuisine that includes Greek cheeses, salads, meats and seafood among others. They are currently looking for a Restaurant Manager to join their team. You will be tasked with leading and managing the various staff as well as the overall operations of the restaurant. The annual salary for the Restaurant Manager role is set at $55,000superannuation. The Responsibilities Your tasks at the restaurant will consist of: Managing and taking control over the entire operations Planning menus in consultation with the director and the chef/cook Assisting me by providing suggestions on food and labour cost and purchase of food supplies Planning and organising special events and functions Ensuring that dining facilities look appealing and comply with health regulations Taking bookings for events and functions Taking phone orders for deliveries or takeaways Making reservations Greeting guests Handling and resolving customer complaints Coordinating with the cook to resolve kitchen issues in order to maintain and ensure smooth operations of the restaurant Design and oversee training and recruitment activities for the business The Requirements: To be considered for the position you must meet the following requirements: Strong food knowledge in Greek cuisine Minimally a Diploma in hospitality/business management or 3 years of relevant experience in lieu of qualifications Minimum 2 year of experience as a Restaurant Manager Experienced in current customer trends, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional overall restaurant management Ability to balance high volume periods and peak service times Willingness to work on weekends Thrive under pressure while delivering excellent leadership and service.
