Employment Type : Permanent Full Time and Permanent Part Time Opportunities Position Classification : Registered Midwife Remuneration : $64,184.86 - $90,122.83 per annum Hours Per Week : up to 38 Requisition ID : REQ133378 Location : Inverell District Hospital Where you'll be working This position is located in Inverell which is a vibrant rural town located in the Tablelands Sector of Hunter New England Area Health.

Inverell Hospital is currently going through a redevelopment process and a new Maternity Unit is included and will be built in line with modern facility requirements. The Maternity Unit will consist of 6 private room's with ensuites, a large birthing room with modern facilities which will include a bath for water immersion during labour. The department will also be linked to the Telehealth Critical Care network within the nursery setting.

What you'll be doing Provide safe, compassionate woman centred care within the maternity and gynaecology service ensuring care is delivered in partnership with women and their families. Take a leadership role in coordinating midwifery care, working in partnership with Registered Nurses, Student Midwives, Assistants in Midwifery and the multidisciplinary team in a collaborative model which places the woman at the centre of her maternity care. Our ideal candidate will be a vibrant, passionate and experienced Midwife who wishes to be a part of a fantastic Rural Midwifery Team and who would look forward to the future of moving into a modern birthing facility mid 2020.

To be eligible for employment in these roles you must be: an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or a citizen of another country with an appropriate visa that allows you to work in Australia. If you currently hold a temporary visa that allows you to live and work in Australia you may only be offered employment in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa. An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies.
