About the role The Technical Support Engineer reports to the Operations Manager, Australasia based in Perth.
Main responsibilities include preparation, installation, operation and maintenance of oiltools equipment, coordination of operations and customer support. Main duties: Provide engineering solutions to clients well constructions Work closely with client and R&D department to come up with innovative engineering solutions. Provide technical support to clients Perform service and maintenance of oiltools products Preparation and organisation of tools for loadout and shipment Installation and operation of oiltools equipment offshore Prepare job reports and documentation for all tool installation and offshore activities Maintain accurate and updated inventory, shipment and maintenance records of all equipment Perform HSE and QA activities according to procedures and guidelines Maintain and update safety and quality related documentation and processes Maintenance and housekeeping of workshop area Undertake project work and testing of new equipment Skills and experience Relevant engineering certification.
Tertiary qualification in mechanical or petroleum engineering preferred. 5 years of working experience in the oilfield services industry, including minimum 3 years on offshore rigs. Experience with drill pipe conveyed downhole tools Good knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering technology and oilfield tools Able to understand technical documents including drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance procedures and manuals.
Good communicate skill. Able to build strong rapport with co-workers and customers Able to make good technical decision and adapt well in a challenging work environment..
