com Role Summary: We are looking for experienced software support engineers (Level 2 and Level 3) to work in a customer facing development and support environment consisting of productive agile teams, a highly automated tool chain, and a modern technology base. Key responsibilities include: Working with key stakeholders to achieve world’s best practice processes in major projects. Working on a wide variety of interesting and challenging assignments.

Working with colleagues in partnership with clients who are committed to achieving their business objectives. Essential skills: Understanding of SLAs and their impact Willingness to engage with development teams to identify and resolve problems Previous experience with Change Management processes Demonstrated high level of customer service skills Ability to work under pressure Level 2 Ability to understand Unix shell scripts and determine their purpose Ability to identify basic corrections required to a shell script to achieve the planned outcome Intermediate understanding of networking concepts and their influence on software applications Ability to perform basic networking troubleshooting and reporting of faults found Ability to create basic SQL scripts and to interpret and understand existing mid to complex level SQL scripts Ability to perform troubleshooting at multiple levels of a system and creation of a consolidated findings report for escalation to next level support engineers Level 3 All of level 2 plus: Solaris / Unix skills, including intermediate to advanced shell scripting Understanding of Database scripting (Oracle preferred) Understanding of software development processes Demonstrated ability to perform Network troubleshooting Understanding of software development lifecycle stages Java programmer capability / support engineer with de.
