Procurement Officer - Independent Government Agency - APS5/6



Our client is an independent government agency with facilities all around Australia. This creates a challenge when it comes to procurement with large numbers of departments, team and business units around the country all requiring assistance. The role of the procurement officer is to have a solid working knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPR) as well as how to apply to a Corporate Commonwealth Entity (CCE).

They will have had previous stakeholder management experience, both internally and externally, with strong focus on providing commercial / risk-based models advice to them. Components of the roles include, but are not limited to: Procurement and Tender related activities, including negotiations with suppliers; advising internal stakeholders on procurement activities; undertake procurement and tender activities Contract development / management Relationship management across teams, business units and departments Reporting for senate orders, consultancy and record management admin Key selection criteria for this role are: Australian Citizenship Qualification and/or experience in government procurement Strong knowledge of CPR and CCE Time management, team orientated as well as self-directed Exemplary written and verbal communication robust stakeholder management experience If this role sounds of interest to you follow the links to apply, but /or you'd like more information contact Sebastian Kaiser on (02) 9431 2530.
