Your new role As Senior Lawyer you will be responsible for assisting the Head of Legal in managing and coordinating the client's legal, governance and risk management functions. Assist in the provision of legal advice and legal advice and legal services to ensure optimal effectiveness of practices across the business.

Additionally, you will conduct investigations, manage complaints and respond to information access requests. Your duties Support development of a vision for the Finance, Risk, Governance division in line with the company Corporate Strategy which sets clear strategic direction and support for employees Foster a healthy and productive work place culture consistent with company values Contribute to the Finance, Risk and Governance division and broader team Perform senior management responsibilities as required Support and develop open and transparent lines of communication with Executive Leadership Team Identify relevant opportunities and make recommendations Assist to recruit, interview, select and hire new employees where relevant Deputise for the Head of Legal if and when called to do so Provide legal advice, in consultation with the Head of Legal Provide legal and strategic advice to internal clients and stakeholders Assist in the application of probity policies and procedures Conduct investigations by identifying issues, reviewing complaints and obtaining evidence and drafting comprehensive investigation reports Maintain systems that support the risk framework Assist in the review, drafting and negotiation of contracts based on procurement policies, best practices and case law What you'll need to succeed Degree in Law Ability to maintain and respect confidentiality Proven problem solving ability Awareness of systems that support governance and risk management Experience in the drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements. Demonstrated experience in procurement law Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work under pressure while multi tasking Strong attention to detail Strong 'team builder' Innovative thinking, initiative, inquisitiveness and energy Interest in the public health sector (desirable) What you'll get in return An ongoing position with the opportunity to be a leader and contribute to a vibrant workplace and community.
