Team Leader - Asset Planning

This position will manage the planning of Drainage Infrastructure, Public Laneways, Public Lighting and the impact of Private Development works and Utility Service renewals. Your new role This role reports to the Coordinator and has two direct reports from engineers assisting with the asset planning. Other key relationships will include service authorities, councillors, contractors, trader groups, community groups and consultants. Responsibilities include: Develop and regularly review strategic infrastructure plans for Councils road and drainage assets.
Manage development of Special Charge Schemes for unsealed laneway assets. Coordinate submissions related to relevant government and utility infrastructure planning and policy development. Utilise Council's Asset Management systems and cyclic condition assessments to provide future capital expenditure recommendations for road and drainage periodic maintenance and renewal programs.
Ensure the protection of Assets within the road reserves and public spaces in the event of private development works, utility services, maintenance works, renewal works and major flooding. What you'll need to succeed To be successful you will: Hold a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering with significant experience in asset planning and development approvals. Technical experience in road and drainage engineering.
Have an ability to communicate effectively at all levels, as leadership and developing important stakeholder relationships. Experience within a Local Government environment is highly desirable and/or Engineering consultancies with Drainage engineering experience.
