Duties Overview Strategy Branch works to influence and improve public administration by consulting with a wide range of stakeholders to identify systemic issues and solutions, to promote best practice across Government, and to raise awareness of the Ombudsman's role. Within the Office, Strategy Branch works on ways of improving the accessibility and responsiveness of our complaint-handling processes. We also work with our regional partners across the Indo-Pacific region to build their capacity to provide oversight of public administration.
Duties The Data Analyst will have key responsibilities to support the delivery of the Business Intelligence function. Responsibilities include producing high quality reporting and analysis, and supporting the development of the Office's business intelligence strategic framework. You will need to be able to work collaboratively and effectively to achieve the Office's deliverables across multiple geographical sites, with a commitment to innovative practice and continuous improvement.
Our ideal candidate The successful candidate will have: â€¢ strong data analysis and data visualisation skills with well-developed Excel spreadsheet skills â€¢ skills or previous experience working with business intelligence applications to build and maintain reports (e.g. Microsoft Power BI) â€¢ highly developed organisational skills including the ability to prioritise and collaborate with others to achieve deadlines â€¢ strong communication skills â€¢ the ability to work independently or under limited guidance as part of a geographically dispersed team, and to manage your own workload to achieve results â€¢ the ability to develop a sound general knowledge of the role and functions of the Office and the agencies we oversight.
Eligibility The successful candidate must: â€¢ be an Australian citizen, and â€¢ the ability to obtain and maintain, as a minimum, a Baseline security clearance. Notes Successful candidates will be required to undergo psychometric testing as part of this selection process.
