Our Quality Management team are focused on ensuring the highest quality standards across our Foxtel product suite. We’re searching for a Hardware Quality Specialist to manage hardware quality standards and perform a quality assurance role for our new manufactured equipment and repair operations with a thorough approach to ultimately reduce costs, ensure compliance all the while maintaining the quality for our end customers. Your mission Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes and guidelines Review product specifications to ensure adherence to hardware quality standards and serviceability has been taken into consideration Monitor and Manage overall quality of new hardware manufacturing– ensure any issues worked through with supplier Write and maintain hardware Acceptance Test Processes to ensure hardware is adhering to acceptable quality levels Monitor quality of repair and refurb process and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Approve repair and refurb operating procedures and acceptable quality guidelines – including acceptable cosmetic quality levels, Beyond Economical Repair, Equipment Treatment Rules Monitor hardware performance and provide recommendations for improvement. Provide reporting on overall hardware quality, annualized failure rates, repair centre adherence to quality on a regular basis Manage escalated Hazardous Equipment investigations Provide reporting and investigations on any early life failures Monitor in warranty repairs for any insights into quality Monitor repair trends for any possible component or design failures Perform regular spot check and audits on repair and refurb units to ensure quality Regular travel to repair centre in Sydney required with possible international travel (likely locations India, China and UK) Identify repair and refurb efficiencies by removing any testing / process which does not directly add to quality of product Your capability Relevant experience in a Technology Industry. Operations, contact centre or product analytics experience desirable.

Understanding of process development and product life cycle. Well-developed stakeholder management skills. Demonstrated ability to present outcomes and workflow clearly for technical and non-technical audiences.

Demonstrated ability to develop process documentation and quality guidelines. Background in electrical engineering desirable. Experience in manufacturing desirable.

Ability to effectively communicate and interface with all levels of organisation. Quick to spot opportunities and issues. Able to multi-task and work across several projects concurrently.

Passionate about product reliability and technology. Lateral thinker and problem solver. Comfortable working in multiple teams across different functional areas.
