The Consolidated Guidelines and Criteria for the Establishment, Maintenance, Progression and Annual Review of Head Teacher Positions were published in TAFE Gazette No. 5 of 2006. Applicants to Head Teacher positions are advised that these positions attract either a Band 1 or Band 2 salary.
There is no automatic salary progression from Band 1 to Band 2, except in the circumstances set out in paragraph 6.1 of the Consolidated Guidelines and Criteria. Head Teacher positions are reviewed annually and such reviews may result in a change to the positionâ€™s salary band.
