Engineering â€“ Mechanical Fitter & Turner - 1st year Apprentice
Sarina Russo Apprenticeships has a client that work hard to maintain the highest standards of product and service in the industry. Since 1980, they have led the market in providing a diverse portfolio of fluid transfer solution products and services. Due to business needs they are looking for a 1st year Mechanical Engineering apprentice to join their busy team.
Apprentices would generally be involved in: â€¢ setting up of machinery to enable the manufacture of engineering products â€¢ repair and replacement of components, parts or other items â€¢ installation of plant and machinery â€¢ design and manufacture of modifications to existing components parts and other items â€¢ maintenance of plant and equipment, and â€¢ construction and commissioning work. The apprentice would normally work in a workshop but may on occasion perform work away from the normal workplace. Apprentices involved in this type of work would work in an enclosed and well equipped workshop, use specialist measuring equipment and a range of hand tools, work from detailed drawings and be expected to use the following equipment: â€¢ welding equipment â€¢ lathes â€¢ milling machinery â€¢ grinding machinery â€¢ hydraulic presses â€¢ thread cutting machinery â€¢ CNC & NC lathes or machining equipment â€¢ hydraulic copying equipment â€¢ tool cutting and grinding equipment â€¢ gear cutting machinery, and â€¢ boring equipment.
The employer is looking for applicants for a mid-January start. The successful applicant will have a car & a current driverâ€™s licence. Juniors are encouraged to apply however the employer may be open to mature aged applicants with experience.
