Head of Business Development
Our client is a successful, global organisation specialising in SMO service offerings and now expanding into the CRO business. They are seeking an experienced Business Development professional to lead their expansion and BD activities both nationally and internationally. This is a unique opportunity to join a greenfield business unit with the backing and support of an established organisation.
It is anticipated that you will expand CRO and SMO research collaboration and revenue through the origination and execution of growth initiatives including research collaborations with new industry sponsors, academic partners and sub-vendors/sub-CROs. You will be shaping and expanding the CRO business with your market expertise whilst leveraging the existing SMO business. To be considered for the role you will need: 8 years of health care industry experience in sales or BD with a minimum 2 years of previous experience selling within a CRO Thorough understanding of clinical trials process Strong relationships with decision makers in biotech and pharma companies Ability to work independently and up to 50% travel Ability to recognise the needs of the customer and collaborate with the clinical areas to develop proposals that exceed customer expectations Scientific degree (BSc or similar) and MBA is preferred To be successful, you will need to: Have strong sales skill, demonstrated success records and a competitive nature Be reliable, highly-motivated, well-organised, results-oriented and customer-focused Possess excellent interpersonal and presentation skills Have professional credibility and integrity If you are interested in exploring this exciting venture, please apply following the directions below or call Raha Zolghadri on 02 9431 2510 for a confidential discussion.
