Nurse Unit Manager Dimboola Campus NUM (NM10 - NM12) Permanent - Full Time (80 hrs per fortnight) with ADO Job shared will be considered This is a key management and leadership position within the Dimboola campus of Wimmera Health Care Group. The Nurse Unit Manager reports to the Campus Manager and provides day to day operational leadership and management to ensure the clinical and professional delivery of high quality, safe, resident/ patient centred care for the Aged Care and Acute services. The Nurse Unit Manager position involves human resources management, financial management and planing, developing and managing processes and procedures to improve and maintain the home and acute services at the Dimboola Campus.

This position is permanent full time however requests for job share or flexibility in working hours will be considered, please contact the person indicated below. Key Selection Criteria include: Essential: Registered Nurse with current Nurses Board of Victoria registration. Minimum of five years post graduate experience in one or more of the clinical areas of responsibility including senior nursing leadership experience Relevant post graduate qualifications in aged care / management.

Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary nursing theory and practice in relation to the care of aged residents. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of aged care accreditation standards and the ACFI resident appraisal and classification process Ability to implement management principles and cost effective resource management. Demonstrated capacity to manage team members and provide leadership within a team.

Evidence of commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and the delivery of a high standard of resident patient focussed service. Well-developed negotiation performance management, mediation, and conflict resolution skills. Proficient in the use of information technology and relevant aged care-related computer software programs Desirable Experience at a senior nurse level in aged care.

Tertiary qualifications in health/business management/gerontology or working towards same.
