Duties and Responsibilities General To ensure Westcon Group internal processes, pricing, stock and profit objectives support the assigned vendor portfolio and are met. To regularly engage with channel partners to provide support to resolve issues. Escalate any order that is "urgent" to meet deadlines Resolve all outstanding issues such as short shipments, product quality, etc Communicate with internal staff, suppliers and freight forwards both verbally and written.
Escalation point for all product management enquiries Manage vendor portfolio rebates Explore new opportunities for generating incremental revenue. Assist in completing QBR Slide Deck for vendor(s) QBRs Assist in scheduling of partner training programs in conjunction with vendor portfolio. Ensure the website and intranet is maintained with current information.
Analyse and monitor the performance of the customer base to identify areas of opportunity and to pre-empt customer issues Ensure customers are kept up to date with relevant developments from Vendors and Westcon Group Ensure pre-sales team are able to quote Vendors products and services Ensure pricing set up is correct for individual reseller accounts where appropriate To manage vendors' stock at Westcon Group including agreed stock, metrics, exceptional return negotiations etc. To maintain exceptional customer service and consistently strive to exceed customer expectations. Attend all appropriate vendor events.
Skills and experience: Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build strong relationships quickly and effectively Good administrative skills with attention to detail and good follow-up Knowledge of data, voice and video communications and networking; ability to position different products correctly Experience is distribution. General computer literacy. Understanding of and ability to apply pricing, gross profit, discounts, margin calculations.
Strong presentation skills. Strong negotiation/persuasion skills. Previous successful experience in a customer facing role, with responsibility for achieving sales targets and/or managing a product portfolio.
