Casual Production Technician
Our Dubbo based client produces high quality biological materials for the global pharmaceutical and medical products industries and is a growing and innovative emerging industry. To meet demand for supply of their products, they require additional casual members within their Production Team. With potential for permanent work in the future, a competitive hourly rate and the ability to work flexible hours, this position is a unique opportunity.
Preference will be given to candidates who are able to work regular weekend rosters and it will be possible to work up to 30 hours per week. This is a laboratory clean room environment, governed by the Code of Good Manufacturing Practice. You will be working as part of a small team and reporting directly to the Production Manager.
Duties will include: Preparation of fixed animal tissue products to client specifications Carry out specific testing procedures - for example shrink and bioburden Enter data into quality records and electronic recording systems Ensure your work area is clean and sterile Manage supply of consumables and product Whilst previous experience in a laboratory environment would be an advantage, full training is provided so it is not essential. A science based qualification would also be an advantage, but is not a requirement. What is essential is that you are a person who is very thorough and has a high level of attention to details.
To be successful in this role, you will also need to be able to demonstrate the following: Essential Criteria: Ability to perform repetitive tasks to a high standard Self-motivated and able to work independently Experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Strong written and verbal communication skills with an instinct to collaborate and learn The ability to follow strict quality control procedures.
