Central Adelaide Local Health Network, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital Temp F/T (2 year appointment) - MD2, VMS, CAMD2 As part of the Critical Care and Perioperative Services leadership team, you will contribute to the achievement of key performance indicators, strategic and operational deliverables for the program at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH). You will provide medical leadership and governance for all clinical work within Critical Care and Perioperative Services (TQEH) and contribute to service planning within the program. You will be accountable for the medical leadership of Critical Care and Perioperative Services (TQEH) within the Central Adelaide Local Health Network.

You will be required to provide advice and liaise with all levels of management within government and non-government sectors, including professional and academic organisations, private sector groups, community organisations and community members on professional clinical matters. The Critical Care and Perioperative Services program consists of the Intensive Care Unit, Medial Emergency Response, Theatres and Technical Suites, Anaesthetics, Acute Pain service and the Hyperbaric service located at the RAH. The program provides services across CALHN and consists of a Nursing Lead and Medical Lead at the RAH and TQEH and an overarching Manager, Clinical Program Delivery.

You will hold appropriate Specialist Qualifications for a Consultant, and be registrable as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia. With proven experience in a Senior Clinical leadership role, including the planning and provision of health services, you will demonstrate an understanding of emerging directions within Critical Care and Perioperative Services, nationally and internationally. Your proven leadership skills and ability to motivate others will equip you to successfully lead professional groups to achieve best practice clinical outcomes.
