Associate Nurse Unit Manager - Infection Control
Northern Adelaide Local Health Network, Modbury Hospital & Lyell McEwin Hospital Indicative Total Remuneration: $103,213 - $112,041 - Temp P/T (up until 14/8/2020) - RN/M2A - 32 hours per week You will provide support to the Nurse Unit Manager in the leadership of Infection Control practices across the Modbury Hospital and Lyell McEwin Hospital. Promoting continuity and consistency of Infection Control practices in collaboration with other Nurse Unit Managers, you will contribute to the implementation of practice changes and undertake service management responsibilities. These will include performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation and attendance management; financial and supplies planning and monitoring.
Utilising your nursing skills and knowledge, you will support and work collaboratively with less experienced members of the nursing team. Modbury Hospital is a 164-bed acute care teaching hospital that provides inpatient, outpatient and emergency services to the North-Eastern suburbs community. A teaching hospital of the University of Adelaide, Modbury Hospital has been servicing the community for over 30 years with dedication and pride.
The Lyell McEwin Hospital (LMH) is a 336-bed specialist referral public teaching hospital in the northern suburbs of Adelaide, providing services in the areas of General Medicine, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics and Psychiatry. You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With prior experience in management and leadership roles, you will be capable of giving supervision to student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
You will use your effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills to maintain a cohesive multidisciplinary team and resolve local or immediate nursing care problems.
