Churches of Christ in Queensland, Brig-O-Doon Aged Care Service, Acacia Ridge Permanent, part-time opportunity Imagine a job where everything you did made a difference About the role As a Lifestyle Therapist, you will be responsible for providing activities that are designed to enhance the physical, cultural, spiritual and social well-being of our residents. You have the ability to drive and implement our Positive Wellbeing Model (PWM) by working closely with residents, families and the nursing team to achieve successful outcomes. You will evaluate group & individual lifestyle programs and facilitate the participation of residents in a variety of experiences improving their quality of life.
You will also assist a team of allied health professionals to assess resident's individual needs. This permanent, part-time opportunity will require you to work across a variety of shifts. About you You are a dynamic and motivated individual who thrives on innovation when it comes to enriching the lives of the elderly.
Whether it be a concert at the facility or a day out on the bus, your main goals are to motivate, inspire and involve the residents. You are passionate about lifestyle therapy, with excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills. You have a fun loving nature along with compassion and understanding of individual needs.
Your qualifications and experience for the role include: Certificate IV in Leisure & Health; Experience in developing and implementing contemporary leisure and recreational programs, within the Aged Care industry; The ability to obtain National Police Certificate; A current First Aid certificate is highly desirable.
