Our client, an established and highly successful retail, petrol & food organisation with 26 years of sustained growth in their sector, are entering an exciting phase of expansion with a strategic focus on increasing their retail foot-print across the country. They are looking to appoint a suitably qualified Draftsperson With a number of projects already under way and further expansion plans in the pipeline, this is an exciting phase of growth and development with key projects to get stuck into. Our projects range across convenience, quick service restaurants and petrol stations as well as other tenancy projects.

With key investments now and into the future, we are seeking key support from a capable and experienced Draftsperson to join an established team help us drive key projects. Strong Revit Drafting will be highly desirable. Previous construction management experience in convenience, retail, and food service restaurants is essential.

Role overview: Assist with implementation of standard design for new builds and retrofit projects; Coordinate and assist external consultants for standard design implementation; Produce accurate and detailed fuel systems drawings that comply with relevant Australian standards and local governmental guidelines as required; Ability to produce a full set of concept and detailed drawings for new builds as well as updated drawings for existing builds/new projects; Liaise with builders and answer any RFI's during the construction and design phase; Liaise with planners/local authorities during the DA/BA stages; Updating design standards in response to business requirements; Liaising with internal departments (branding, marketing, merchandising, operations, planning, acquisitions and property) for capturing and implementing directions through design to compliment the business plan; Manage the design documentation to be issued for construction; and Assist Project Managers and Building Managers during construction process with relevant and consistent design information. Key Skills & Experience: Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations and compliance relevant to construction, developments, documentation and drawings (knowledge of AS4897, AS 1596 or AS1940 would be preferable) Advanced Diploma of Building Design (Architectural) or equivalent; Highly proficient in Revit, experience with AutoCAD 2D would be beneficial; Experience in build and modifications drawings in a construction environment or similar; Understanding of the design process and implementation during construction; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Project management, time management, and organisation skills with the ability to work autonomously Knowledge of construction and proven ability to produce detailed construction documentation.
