Principal Consultant - AI and Analytics
Our global IT consultancy client based in Canberra is looking for a Principal Consultant - Analytics & AI to join on a permanent basis. The position will be responsible for providing advice and direction on Analytics business requirements and relevant solutions to the clients. The role will also be responsible for business development on existing accounts and new channels.
The Principal may participate in cross-division, multi-function teams around go to market initiatives and provide mentoring and guidance to peers and subordinates. The Principal will have subject matter expertise in one or more fields related to the organisation's Analytics offerings. Key Responsibilities: Lead teams and channel partners on consulting/advisory engagements to clients Develop GTM value propositions with Industry and Sales teams Develop presales collateral and relevant solution architectures Generate/maintain an incremental sales pipeline Ensure client satisfaction across the lifecycle of opportunities Manage multiple client engagements Report against forecast budgets Selection Criteria: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or equivalent.
15 or more years of experience in Data Management and/or related areas Data Engineering skills/experience Data Warehouse and BI modernisation skills/experience Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, MPP databases, Cloud databases Data Modelling, Metadata, Master Data Management skills/experience Strong exposure in Data Science, ML, and AI Project/Program Management skills Has mastery in Analytics and Data Management including technologies, theories, and techniques. Demonstrates excellent communication presentation skills, engaging clients at a business level Helps clients identify business challenges and lead them on a journey to implement innovative solutions to deliver the right outcomes. Has the ability to develop or contribute to business and technology solutions to address client needs.
Has proven track record of leading client sales presentations, putting forward Analytics/Big Data/BI domain specific information that drives new business opportunities Has a strong understanding of new age technologies such as Machine Learning, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence and is able to drive conversations at CxO level Has a proven track record of achieving results and meeting client expectations Thrives on collaboration. Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Successfully operates in the most complex disciplines in which the company must operate to be successful.
Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives. Has knowledge of modeling methods and business analytics i.e.
