Project Manager SCADA



Eden Ritchie Recruitment are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a contract duration of up to 20 months Reporting to the Program Manager you will be managing a diverse team of professionals from Program Engineers, Technical Design Officers and QA Officers to deliver civil, mechanical, electrical, control and communication systems, whilst managing the efficient and commercially astute end-to-end delivery of the departments Replacement project. The role: Project Planning: Plan, monitor and control all aspects and phases of projects on behalf of the Client to ensure Client's requirements in relation to time, cost, quality, scope and benefits are achieved. A specific emphasis is also required in ensuring that your Project Management Plans (PMP) are appropriately accurate with respect to forward estimates for cost, time, performance objectives and scope.

Ensure that clients and stakeholders are properly informed about the projects, including plans, risks and issues and that their expectations are met. Develop and maintain close relationships with Program Managers, Project Managers, Technical Leads and Engineers. Project Delivery: In conjunction with the Infrastructure Program Manager, establish a project team, including identifying, providing and managing resource requirements from the various resource managers, specialist areas or external providers.

Develop and lead project teams ensuring project control is exercised through formal project meetings and communication and be accountable for the project delivery. Manage resources associated with commissioning of the projects assigned including documentation, training and change management requirements prior to their acceptance by the Client. Coordinate pre- commissioning and acceptance testing and associated documentation for construction/repair contracts.

Engage with clients for acceptance testing. Have a commercial focus on cost control, cost reduction, and time management. Manage and deliver the application of value management principles and practices.

Be accountable for managing project and contract variances in alignment with Program Financial Management. Review and agree progress payments in accordance with contractual agreements; In conjunction with the Infrastructure Program Manager and procurement department and relevant policies, develop strategy, compile documentation and work packaging, and manage procurement approval processes and provide input into contract documentation (specifications) and commercial conditions; Participate and manage, where required, the process of developing and evaluating tenders (based on Value for Money), and associated recommendations in relation to the awarding of contracts for civil, mechanical, electrical, process, and control system works. Demonstrated Skills and Abilities: Highly developed interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to liaise and negotiate with a broad range of internal and external customers and stakeholders.
