Quantitative Developer / Senior Quantitative Developer
Cbus is expanding its internal investment capability and is bringing a significant portion of its asset management in-house. As a result, there is a growing demand for quantitative development expertise internally. The successful candidate will be involved in building internal investment applications and research systems as well as participating in the research and development of quantitative investment strategies.
This role will report to the Head of Quantitative Solutions. Together with the rest of the Quantitative Solutions team, the successful candidate will work across all asset classes, particularly with Public Markets, Private Markets, and Asset Allocation Teams. The role will also interact with the broader investment team including Responsible Investments, Portfolio Execution, and Innovation and Strategy.
The successful candidate will be proficient in developing software in one or more of the following languages: Python (preferred), R, or Matlab and demonstrated experience in manipulating large data sets including extracting data from APIs and other formats, writing SQL queries, data cleaning and transformation. A Financial Markets/Investments background is an advantage. Experience in developing and maintaining user applications, e.
g. Excel/VBA, Power BI, visualization libraries in Python/R and some experience with one of the following programming languages: C#, C/C++ or Java would be beneficial. Qualifications in computer science, finance, physical sciences or engineering, Postgraduate qualifications, such as PGDip, Masterâ€™s, would be advantageous.
