ACHL Non- Executive Director
Community Housing Limited (CHL) Group of Companies is an innovative and best practice affordable housing organisation which assists access to, develops and manages sustainable housing for people in need. CHL is a not-for profit and public benevolent institution. We are seeking to appoint an independent Non-Executive Director (NED).
As a valued member of our organisation, you will be part of our highly qualified and experienced board, who will assist you in further developing your board involvement practices. You will also be given the opportunity to confer with key stakeholders involved in the delivery of housing services to make a real difference. Main tasks will include (but are not limited to): Attend meetings of members, board of directors and committee meetings Effective corporate governance to ensure board acts in best interests of company and stakeholders Advise Chairman and CEO in development of organisation, including meeting future challenges and responsibilities Awareness and understanding of financial information reported and management of operational risk; including accountability for services provided and public funds used.
To be successful in this role you will need: demonstrated experience in board level role in medium size organisation with change agenda; a bachelorâ€™s degree in commerce, business, or relevant qualification together with CA, CPA or IPA designation; strategic expertise including efficient delivery of recommendations; excellent communication skills; a strong sense of responsibility and accountability; and, a commitment to the right of all people to affordable and sustainable housing.
