Construction Manager - Wind Farm
Your new company Our client is predominantly involved in wind development, investment and operations arm. It currently holds significative participation in and manages a global portfolio of operating wind energy projects across the world. It's business model is based on the integral development and management of greenfield projects, aiming to maintain a stable presence in those markets in which it operates through the company's long-term equity investments.
Your new role Among other tasks, the role will involve: Project scheduling, coordination and liaison with all stakeholders involved in the construction to ensure timely completion of the project Monitoring deliverables of the EPC contractor and directing design reviews to Owner's Engineer to ensure design contains no obvious errors or omissions Administering the EPC and connection contracts (including claims, variations, disputes etc.) Managing compliance with all relevant legislation, health and safety regulations, permits and contractual obligations of the Principal Liaison with the community and local council as a representative of the project owners Performing inspections of the works to ensure compliance with the design specifications and witnessing on-site testing events Review commissioning and tests results, including reliability runs for the turbines and signing off on tests where required Manage the resolution of issues relating to interfaces between individual parties operating on the site Producing monthly reports for both the project owners and the lenders to update on schedule, budget, incidents, and any other information relevant to the completion of construction Participating in fortnightly calls to inform on the progress of the project Monitoring the adequacy of the EPC contractor's staff for site supervision, work and quality control What you'll need to succeed To be considered for this role you should have; Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university 10 years of experience in engineering, contracting and construction work specific to the wind energy industry General knowledge of Australian grid requirements and network connection applications Proficiency in GIS computer applications Strong communication skills with a can-do attitude Knowledge of policies and permitting processes What you'll get in return In return you will be joining a global organisation with significant pipeline.
