About the role: As Domain's Group Financial Controller you will lead all aspects of the Financial control function, including external financial reporting, technical accounting, finance operations, treasury, and oversight of the risk and control environment for Domain Group. As a key member of the Finance leadership team, you will play a critical role in defining and executing the transformation roadmap to ensure Domain Finance is a value-adding partner to the business. As the Group Financial Controller, your day may look something like this: Reporting on a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual cycle for Executive Leaders, Board, Investors, and external regulatory requirements Collaborate with finance peers to ensure we deliver a best practice approach to financial management and business support Play a leading role in continuing the transformation of the Finance function, proactively identifying and delivering on improvement opportunities Provide input into financial due diligence as required by Strategy for acquisitions/disposals and new ventures Provide hands-on coaching and support to finance team and internal stakeholders to ensure knowledge growth and common understanding Work closely with CFO to support the operations and inquiries of the Audit and Risk Committee Manage the Treasury function and oversee relationships with financial institutions Take a leadership role on insurance and risk management Establish contemporary financial control frameworks, policies, and guidelines Delivery of external compliance requirements including ABS returns Monthly reconciliations/control processes Develop/maintain group accounting policies/procedures We would love you to have: Strong technical accounting knowledge including tax effect accounting Detailed IFRS knowledge Superior staff and stakeholder management skills Excellent communication skills, including at Board level Customer service and quality focus Demonstrated commitment to the continuous improvement of financial accounting procedures and outcomes Detailed knowledge of corporate disclosures as required for an Australian ASX listed company Experience in risk management and improving the control environment Extensive experience in the completion and review of complex balance sheet reconciliations Demonstrated ability to effectively liaise with internal and external suppliers, consultants and customers Extensive experience with the external reporting for a large publicly listed company CA or CPA qualified with an undergraduate degree in Accounting It would be a....
