Disability Support Workers
Healthcare Australia is looking for experienced and dedicated Support Workers to support our clients for ongoing shifts in the NDIS. Healthcare Australia currently has opportunities for Support Workers to join Australia's largest Healthcare Agency to provide care and support to people who live independently for ongoing shifts north of the river. Your role may vary and will include personal care, daily living skills, community access, promoting independence, planning and homecare/domestic duties and helping our clients achieve their goals.
We offer a wide variety of shifts - ranging from Mornings/Afternoons/Active Nights and Sleepovers. This is an extremely rewarding role that will have you finishing each shift knowing you have improved the lives of others and truly made a difference All applicants MUST have or willing to obtain: 6 Months minimum paid full-time experience working as a Disability Support Worker Working with Children Check National Police Clearance First Aid Certificate CPR Manual Handling Medication Administration Certificate Own a registered, insured and reliable motor vehicle Job Role: Providing high-level of care, including personal care, toileting and hygiene Community Access Light Domestic duties and meal preparation Due to the individual support requirements of our clients, we particularly require female support workers for this role. Being Female is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement for this position under the section 30 (2) of the Sex discriminations act 1984.
