Senior Financial Accountant
About the role: This is a pivotal role which drives coordination and communication of financial accounting activities across domestic teams. The role aims to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of statutory accounts for all in scope legal entities, provision of financial information as well as promoting a cohesive team and business environment. The Senior Financial Accountant is expected to assist in setting the strategic direction and drive successful delivery of team goals and objectives while developing and maintaining excellent business relationships.
About the duties: Specifically, this role will provide financial accounting leadership and ensure compliance with all Statutory, Legal and Corporate Policy requirements, process improvement and team development. Focusing on efficiency, the role will seek to implement best practice and a continuous improvement mindset. This will include process improvement and re-design, a challenging of the status quo, coaching direct reports and building a close working relationship with the key leaders in the business.
Core Duties: Preparation of Statutory Accounts for all legal entities Provide guidance and leadership surrounding accounting standards and journal entries Drive visibility and analysis around financial accounting topics Provide leadership, support and guidance to teams completing Corporate, Management and Statutory reporting Ensure internal and external reporting deadlines are met Drive improvement activities which create efficiencies in the reporting methodologies whilst maintaining accuracy Presentation of Statutory Accounts to Senior Management Also: You will identify opportunities for improvement, development and change both within areas of functional responsibilities and across the broader business. This role will ensure activities comply with legal and ethical standards. Actively work with business managers in identifying, assessing and implementing operational and reporting improvements.
