Technical Sales and Development Engineer

Currently, they are looking for a professional to join their team in Sydney as a Technical Sales and Development Engineer.
Reporting into the technical services team, this role will see you assist the sales team as the technical/engineering lead for the group, leading to further market penetration for the range of company products. In addition, you will also be responsible for: Building strong relationships with customers; Supporting sales and after sales teams with technical and engineering assistance; Research and development of new products and systems; Developing and providing project specific conceptual designs; Identifying market and segment trends and reporting to management; In order to be considered, you will be a degree qualified Structural/Civil Engineer and have experience in a technical/engineering position within the building and construction industry. You will also have experience in engineering sales and/or product development with knowledge of concrete constructions.
As this is a customer facing role, it is essential that you have excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively articulate technical information accordingly, and in addition to this, your presentation skills and ability to build rapport will ensure your success in the role.
