With the need to develop and promote talent through the business as their operation grows due to the continued investment and expansion of Australiaâ€™s soft fruit industry, they have an exciting opportunity for a Horticulturalist to join their team.
Based out of their Melbourne head office and reporting directly to the National Nursery Manager, you will be working closely across their internal and external nursery network monitoring and reporting on plant health and condition. Frequent travel across Tasmania, QLD and Victoria as well performing regular observation reporting will be part of this exciting new role. Other parts of your job may include: collecting daily data on plant growth and health, conducting harvest data recording, quality assurance monitoring and measuring against compliance with plant health and quality standards and specifications.
The successful graduate will have completed or near completed their tertiary qualifications in Ag Science, Agronomy or Horticulture and be ready to start their career full time. Ideally you will be proficient in the use of Excel and above all, be a good communicator including both verbal and written. You will also have a willingness to learn and develop through a mentoring process.
You must have full Australian working rights (Candidates on a study visa or who require sponsorship will not be eligible) and have the ability to travel interstate reasonably frequently.
