Client Liaison Officer - Events and Venue Management - NSW State Government



$30 - $40 per hour Super, depending on experience | 40 hours per week ASAP Start | 4-month temporary assignment NSW State Government | Sydney CBD Location Our large NSW State Government client is responsible for managing some of NSW most significant assets including Sydney’s heritage and cultural precincts which results in better visitor experience and service for the people of NSW. They are currently seeking a Client Liaison Officer with high profile venue management experience to join their team in Sydney CBD. This is an estimated 4-month temporary assignment, with the requirement to work weekends and nights as required.

Reporting to the Director, Major Venues you will be required to facilitate the generation of venue sales through promotion and hiring of all public domain assets whilst ensuring adherence to all licensing and compliance matters. Your duties will include, but won’t be limited to the following – Generate public domain venue sales including from existing and prospective commercial and venue hire clients Assist with the development and implementation of annual business action plan for venue management Provide high quality sales account management, identify and cross-sell opportunities Deliver quality, professional customer service in a high transaction-based volume business Provide expertise advise on event planning, procedures, regulations and guidelines ensuring adherence to all licensing and compliance matters Manage and maintain multiple high-profile location/venue hire events Evaluate suitability of proposed events, providing expert guidance on appropriate hire spaces in accordance with Departmental policies and procedures Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships Prepare and process documentation including approval applications, contracts, invoicing, budget reconciliation and records management To be successful in securing this great assignment you will have the following – Tertiary Qualifications in Event Management, Hospitality Management or a relevant field Previous Project Management experience especially in managing public domain or high-profile venues Demonstrated experience in managing Public Domain or high-profile venues Impeccable interpersonal and communication skills Superior organisational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines Strong computer literacy and proficiency skills, especially with Ungerboeck Event Management Booking Software system Takes initiative with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility to work out of standard business, as required Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment Applications will be reviewed within 48 hours of the job positing.
