75 hrs/wk) Temp 13 Mar 2020 - AHP2 The Orthoptist is responsible for helping to provide an effective and efficient orthoptic service within SALHN. This will be achieved by working as a team member with all other clinical staff and Health Professionals within the Flinders Eye Centre. To be suitable for this role you must have the ability to achieve a varied workload level, meeting timely deadlines whilst working independently.
You will have the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers and staff at all levels. You will have the ability to liaise and work within a multi-disciplinary setting. You will possess a high level of written and oral communication skills.
You must have the ability to analyse and interpret clinical data. You will have experience in basic computing skills, including email and word processing. You must have a qualification consisting of the equivalent of a related Bachelor Degree (e.
g. Bachelor of Health Sciences) plus a Masters Degree qualification in Orthoptics AND eligible for membership of the Orthoptic Association of Australia (OAA). This is a part time vacancy, working up to 67.
