Team Leader Mental health, Permanent Full Time. FremantleLife Without Barriers
We are looking for an experienced mental health professional to support and lead our team at Ngatti House About the Organisation Life Without Barriers is a leading social purpose, not for profit organisation of 7,000 employees working in more than 440 communities across Australia. We support children, young people and families, people with disability, older people and people with mental illness. We work with people who are homeless and refugees and asylum seekers.

About the role Ngatti House is a residential program based in Fremantle providing community based homeless youth services to young people between 17 and 22 years of age, who show signs and symptoms of mental illness while homeless or at risk of homelessness.
The service focuses on building self-esteem, social inclusion, recovery and the capacity for young people to achieve their desired goals whilst being supported by staff and their local community An individual program is developed for each resident, who may live at the residence for up to 12 months. We are looking to employ a Team Leader to run the service and manage its 15 staff to ensure our clients are getting the support they need to successfully complete the program. The role will be office hours Monday – Friday and there will be a requirement to be on the On-Call rotating roster with the other Team Leaders in our Mental Health Services.
Key Responsibilities Coordination and management of the daily operations of the Ngatti House Program Provide supervision and support to direct reports Provide services in accordance with funding agency standards and agreements Development and maintenance of positive relationships with all stakeholders, including families Implement high quality care plans or Individual Plan and ensure clients have key worker as per LWB policy. As required, coordinate and/or oversee rostering and timesheet requirements. Communicate and act in ways that are consistent with Life Without Barriers Values of Responsive , Imaginative , Courageous , Respectful and Relationships Skills & Experience Relevant Degree or Tertiary qualification in Mental Health, Social & Community Services (minimum Diploma in Mental Health) Extensive experience of working in a leadership/management role in a human services organisation.
Extensive experience working with young people experiencing complex mental illness and/or homelessness. Demonstrated experience in working with individuals, families and/or groups from a strength-based culturally appropriate perspective. Demonstrated commitment to the values of dignity, respect, inclusion empowerment, confidentiality and strength-based practice.
