Senior Project Manager - $100m Education Project

An award winning commercial construction company, our client operates mainly across health, education, leisure, government and commercial sectors delivering quality projects to their clients. The projects are normally of a new build or heavy refurb nature and they are now seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their growing business. As Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for delivering safe, high quality and profitable construction projects from conversion, through to hand over, finalization and review providing a high quality service that will ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.

You will be working on a portfolio of Education projects up to $100m. Candidates can come from a client side PM or head contractor side. This is a dynamic role and will include consulting, leadership, provision of advice and interface management.

Reporting to: Construction Manager Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Managing multiple projects concurrently at various stages of construction Oversee financial management, planning and programming on all projects Conduct regular programme and internal project audits Manage dispute resolution between both clients and subcontractors Review and improve construction methodologies Supervise the recruitment, induction and development of project based staff, ensuring regular performance feedback occurs Ensure industrial relations issues are resolved and industrial arrangements are up to date Qualifications and Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or similar Minimum 8 - 15 years' experience in the successful delivery of projects from start to finish with a second / top tier head contractor Proven leadership ability in building and motivating teams Detailed knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements / standards Strong project financial reporting skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Well-developed interpersonal skills Experience with Microsoft Office suite This is a permanent full time position providing a great opportunity to work with a successful and growing organisation who offer challenging work and the potential for career progression.
