We are seeking an enthusiastic a Project Director; this is a full time contract role, which will initially go for 12 months, but it has the option to extend. This role is within the rail industry and is based in Melbourne's CBD: The successful candidate will be working within a team environment. To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria below; Plan, direct, coordinate, and lead activities of operational interface input to projects to ensure that goals, objectives, and all elements of the project plan are accomplished within the prescribed timeframe and budget parameters Facilitate and co-ordinate the company's engagement on projects that are being managed and led by other entities Being able to interact with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner, including be able to present reports to them Review status reports prepared by project and modify schedules or plans as required Recognise and solve potential problems and evaluate project effectiveness Oversee budget, ensure financial accountability and operational effectiveness on relevant projects Represent the company at various multiagency meetings, steering committees, project specific meetings, workshops and risk assessments Ensure team's requirements are captured in the development, documentation, validation and implementation of business requirements and operational readiness activities Project management qualifications or demonstrated experience (within rail) desirable Experience in large Rail Projects desirable Good communication skills with the ability to tailor your technical messages according to your audience.
