We are seeking an enthusiastic a Project Engineering Manager; this is a full time contract role, which will initially go for 12 months, but it has the option to extend. This role is within the rail industry and is based in Melbourne's CBD: The successful candidate will be working within a team environment. To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria below; Direct design development and review procedures Ensure that NIPR-2695 design procedure is adhered to Interface to the wider business, particularly network engineering, maintenance and operations to keep abreast of proposed options and the progression of design works to seek their input and endorsement through development Control and manage the process for applications by the project for variance to standards (NIPR-2000) Be responsible and accountable for the Engineering Change Process for the project works Contribute to systems engineering reviews, SiD workshops and stakeholder reviews Attend Technical Work Groups (TWGs) as a company technical representative Draw upon specialist resources as required by the TWGs for specific issues Be a key contributor to risk and issue registers/workshops and mitigation strategies as per project director requirement Assist quality, operational readiness, commissioning and handover teams in performing their duties Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
Demonstrated experience and skills in engineering management preferably in the rail environment At least 10 years' experience working in engineering (essential) Good communication skills with the ability to tailor your technical messages according to your audience.
