Project Engineer - Signalling
We are seeking an enthusiastic a Project Engineer in Signalling; this is a full time contract role, which will initially go for 12 months, but it has the option to extend. This role is within the rail industry and is based in Melbourne's CBD: The successful candidate will be working within a team environment. To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following criteria below; Project engineering and project management, technology development, design solution development and engineering investigation and analysis Assist in ensuring that where works are to be undertaken on the train network they are conducted safely and in accordance with those standards for the works that have been previously approved Interface to the wider business, particularly network engineering, maintenance and operations to keep abreast of proposed options and the progression of design works to seek their input and endorsement through development Provide technical and engineering expertise for the investigation and analysis of identified engineering system issue Participate in the development and maintenance of rail infrastructure maintenance and construction standards, technical maintenance plans, service schedules, inspection and test plans Participate in type approval submissions of rail related equipment / systems Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering discipline Demonstrated experience and skills in engineering preferably in the rail environment.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in the delivery of projects within the rail environment and/or relevant experience in the Signal Engineering discipline appropriate for admission to corporate membership of the Institution of Railway Signalling Engineers Good communication skills with the ability to tailor your technical messages according to your audience.
