Project Officer



A large government agency is currently seeking a Project Officer to join them on an initial 6 month contract based in Parramatta. The primary purpose of this role will be to manage and implement a range of projects across the Department/Division/Business Centre, to support and improve service delivery. The successful candidate will undertake a supporting project management role in very large and complex projects.

Day to day responsibilities include: Manage a range of projects, and support Project Manager and Senior Project Officers in managing large and complex projects, to deliver initiatives to the Department/Division/Business Centre Manage and oversee particular aspects of project implementation, including monitoring project plans, coordinating resources, and managing budgets. Undertake research and analysis to support the development of key projects across the Department/Division/Business Centre. Assist in managing projects designed to review, monitor and improve the effectiveness of service delivery within the Department/Division/Business Centre.

Provide timely advice and communication to relevant stakeholders across the Department/Division/Business Centre regarding project status and implementation issues. Provide advice and support to project team members in undertaking tasks and implementing project plans as required. Prepare a range of project related documents as instructed, including status updates, reports, budgets and discussion papers.

Support and assist in the development of project management methodologies and process across the Department/Division/Business Centre. Is this you? ASAP start required Thanks Michael T S22.
