Advanced Occupational Therapist
Mater Allied Health team is searching for an exceptional Advanced Occupational Therapist to join the team filling a permanent full time appointment, leading and delivering specialist occupational therapy clinical services for patients with lymphoedema, vascular or plastics related conditions. About the role The Advanced Occupational Therapist is a leader in the provision and development of high level occupational therapy services, including leading and/or coordinating research activities, education of students and colleagues, and the development of innovative models of care maximising clinical scope, including occupational therapy-led clinics. Salary range: $56.
53 - $58.98 (Health Practitioner Level 5) per hour plus superannuation What youâ€™ll be doing You will deliver specialised clinical and consultancy occupational therapy services within a multidisciplinary team, through applying high level clinical reasoning to independently form professional judgements for complex and critical or novel clinical presentations, referencing national or international specialists and cutting edge professional development activities, to further develop specialist knowledge and skills. About you As a valued member of this unit you will provide a flexible rapid response service that is patient focussed and outcome oriented.
To achieve this you will have: Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy Membership of the Australian Occupational Therapy Association is desirable but not essential Current appropriate AHPRA registration Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring a team Demonstrated experience coordinating and developing education programs for pre-entry level students and professional colleagues High-level time and workload management skills Advanced training in Lymphoedema management and postgraduate research is highly desirable Why join us?
