Care Service Employee (Grade 2)

Join Our Dynamic Team We are seeking five Care Service Employees to work at Uniting Mayflower in Gerringong on a casual basis, providing in the most professional, compassionate, and dignified manner, holistic care and services, taking into consideration the older personâ€™s spiritual, physical, psychological and social needs. You will deliver high quality care (including, but not limited to, providing personal care to residents/clients, preparation/serving of food and maintain the residentâ€™s personal laundry and living environment) under the direction of and in consultation with the Registered Nurse and/or Facility Manager, according to the residents assessed needs.
Essential Criteria â€¢ Demonstrated commitment to the Christian philosophy in providing quality care to aged persons. â€¢ Able to represent the organisation in a professional manner through a high level of personal hygiene, appropriate dress and conduct consistent with the values of the organisation. â€¢ Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of Work, Health and Safety (WH&S) and Infection Control standards, policies, procedures and protocols.
â€¢ Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development. â€¢ Demonstrated commitment to work professionally with colleagues, visitors & volunteers. â€¢ Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and also with minimal supervision.
â€¢ Demonstrated competence in the management of stores including chemicals and equipment. â€¢ Demonstrated competence in the preparation of food. â€¢ Demonstrated competence in providing cleaning services.
Preferred Criteria â€¢ Previous experience in Aged Care or Community Care environment. â€¢ Experience in the operation of commercial laundry equipment â€¢ Experience in preparation of meals for aged persons in a hospital environment â€¢ Experience in the provision of cleaning services within a clinical setting.
