Committee Member - Heart Foundation Victoria Fundraising Committee
The Heart Foundation is seeking a well-connected individual to join our Victorian Fundraising Committee on a voluntary basis. We are looking for someone with solid commercial acumen, leadership experience and a passion for representing our purpose and mission to key potential supporters and stakeholders. About Our Organisation The Heart Foundation is an independent charity whose purpose is to reduce premature death and suffering from heart, stroke and blood vessel disease.

Overview of Committee and purpose For almost 60 years, the Heart Foundation has led the battle to save lives and improve Australiaâ€™s heart health, so it is no surprise that we are among the Countryâ€™s most trusted and well recognised brands. Our 220 staff and more than 100,000 volunteers, assist in delivering vital programs to support over 1 million Australians who suffer from heart disease.
With the communityâ€™s support, we have helped bring about great improvements in heart disease survival rates. We still have so much to do, and therefore, we need your help to make it happen. The role of the Victorian Fundraising Committee is to assist in the development of revenue raising strategies within the Victorian market.
The priority of the Victorian Committee is to build on and establish new relationships with major donors and corporate supporters by providing access to their networks. The Committee meets four times a year, championing key fundraising initiatives by providing invaluable support, guidance, advice and passion to achieve our mission. This drives the Heart Foundations success.
Committee Member Duties It is an expectation of each committee member that they are prepared to bring their Victorian networks to the table for discussion. Identify and assist in the development of prospective supporters, individual major donors, corporate partners, private ancillary funds, trust and foundations etc. that have the capacity to make a significant gift.
Review and advise on the development of compelling business cases to raise income and to pitch to potential supporters. Members will need to spend between 30 mins to 1 hour a week on such duties.
