As a key part of the Surgical team, you will be responsible for the direct supervision, coaching and development of the local Cataract and Refractive CAS team who provide training to customers (Surgeons and Staff) on the approved utilization of Alcon devices to ensure safe and appropriate use for optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities include: •Alignment of CAS field execution and training programs with applicable business strategy •Ongoing certification/recertification for self to ensure clinical and technical expertise to support field-level CAS management and identification of gaps or deficits •Ongoing certification/recertification of direct reports to ensure competence •Seemless account level coordination/collaboration in compliance with stated corporate guidelines •Maintain active field shadowing and coaching with direct reports in addition to regular one:one monthly calls •Reinforcement of appropriate deployment, roles and responsibilities of CAS Direct reports •Execution of CAS activities in the geography, as per CAS strategies and formal KPIs •Adherence to safety and regulatory compliance requirements as per local and other relevant legislation and Alcon policies •Recruitment, development, and retention of Top Talent in the Region Act in accordance with Novartis and Alcon Values and behaviours.

Minimum requirements •Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) OR •Certified Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician •Minimum of 2-4 years of clinical experience as a Technician in a surgical practice (preferred as a clinical application specialist). •Deep understanding of laser mechanics/engineering and technical elements of the devices. •Root cause analysis / problem solving skills.

Supervisory and/or people management experience a plus •Thorough understanding of medical device regulations. •Demonstrated communication skills (oral and written). •Clear understanding of SOPs regarding interactions with Health Care Professionals.
