Engineering Manager - 6 month Fixed Term Contract Career Level Experienced Function Engineering/Technology Function Segment Customer Engineering Location(s) Where Opening Is Available Australia City Wingfield Postal Code 5013 Relocation Assistance No Role Summary/Purpose The purpose of this position is to provide engineering management support to projects in the O&G business, developing Power Generators, hydraulic or electric, combined with GE technologies.

This position is also expected lead the Engineering team, prioritise the work & maintain the lines of communication with Lufkin Automation USA, Zenith UK & subcontractors regarding product enhancement. Efficiently&accurately review& approve drawings and technical documents. Fixed term role for 6 Months Essential Responsibilities •Engineering team management and leadership •Prioritise engineering activities •Manage engineering deliverables •Report Engineering progress to management •Facilitate engineering reviews with key stakeholders •Engage engineering leadership where required Support team who are tasked to: •Develop and evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems and products understanding customer requirements, researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods, applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer and materials •Production or review of 3D Drawings, Manufacturing Drawings, Factory Acceptance Tests, Pre-Commissioning procedures and method statements in line with project requirements •Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabrication, assembly and installation of components •Identify and evaluate problems that may represent risks to equipment or personnel performing HAZOPs (Hazard and operability stady) •Assurance of quality by designing testing methods, for sub assemblies and final product •Supervision and technical support to the engineering team, fabrication and assembly processes •Assistance and supervision to the Field Technicians/Engineers in the execution of their activities commissioning or rectifying products •Adherence to all applicable site/project safety procedures / active participation in all company/project safety initiatives •Progress reporting of design improvements, compliance to Regulations and Standards, production, assembly and Pre-Commissioning / Commissioning activities as required by the project •Develop and evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems and products understanding cus.
