Business Development, Senior Executive (Government Sales)



Based in Sydney, the successful candidate will be responsible for establishing contact with prospective customers within government and trade organisations within AUS & NZ. The main task of the role will be to target new organisations and introduce Euromonitor’s capabilities, demonstrate our award-winning databases, discuss client needs and match them to the appropriate products. This is a high-volume calling environment which will suit highly motivated sales professionals preferably with a proven track record in B2B selling.

You should possess the initiative, tenacity and commercial awareness to find the right contact and sell the benefits of our products. You will be skilled in networking within targeted client accounts and bringing together the needs of customer personnel into collective service solutions. Key responsibilities: Generate sales with new clients in your designated territory Research a strong prospect list Create a sales plan on how to reach sales targets and ensure implementation of the plan Identify key sponsors, influencers and decision-makers at target prospects and ensure that they understand the benefits of using our information Take ownership of your personal sales targets Work closely with colleagues across different teams, departments and offices to develop the best solution for clients Discover business drivers and strategic planning gaps to fully understand opportunities to meet the client’s objectives.

Requirements Minimum degree with at least 1-2 years of selling into government space Proven track record in current role A targets-driven approach to work Comfortable in interacting with VP and C-level executives Solution- and value-selling acumen Excellent negotiation and communication skills Tenacity, drive and resilience Self-motivated and organised To be successful you may have some or all of the following: Business Acumen Cold Calling Consultative Selling Experience building relationship with Govt / related agencies Right to work Benefits Why work for Euromonitor?
