How about changing the future of Australia? nbn 's Business Segment consists of all non-residential end-users including Medium, Enterprise and Government segments. The Business Segment will generate approximately 15% of nbn 's revenue by FY22 and is critical to nbn achieving its revenue and peak funding objectives. The Commercial Deal Manager is a highly visible commercial and strategic role that will be responsible for working closely with the Industry Engagement Consultants in developing and implementing strategies to execute deals by supporting the contract and commercial negotiations of new contracts with the end users in the Business, Enterprise and Government segment.
A bit about your role This is a hands-on role where you will support the closure of large complex deals at appropriate levels of financial performance. There is an opportunity to help shape the commercial deal framework focussing mainly on the Government segment along with Business and Enterprise segment. To do this, you will need to effectively and professionally: Defining deal strategy based on analysis of all parties' interests.
Synthesise, prioritise and make decisions on complex and competing commercial, operational, technical, legal, regulatory and policy issues. Establish high credibility (immediately) and strong, enduring relationships (over time) with internal and external stakeholders. Manage, influence, negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to execute deals successfully.
Lead or participate in cross-functional, multi-disciplinary deal teams and project teams. Support development of high quality and highly persuasive strategic, commercial and contractual framework that is fit for purpose for Business, Enterprise and Government end users. Collaborate with a diverse group of people across the team to ensure accountabilities are met and engagement is high.
A bit about you You will need to hit the ground running in this role and bring with you proven track record in successfully closing highly complex deals with understanding of telecom and service management would be ideal. Experience and knowledge in Government procurement processes will be highly regarded. In designing and negotiating commercial contracts, you will be across the details such as the product and service offering, financials, risks, liabilities and indemnities, whilst also having a strong commercial understanding of the big picture and environment in which you are operating.
Adept with numbers, you will have the ability to understand and analyse complex commercial contracts and be able to interpret these into layman's terms for those who are not contracts specialists. You will have a strong technical knowledge and understanding of nbn's products and will be a natural at managing complex internal and external stakeholder relationships.
