Purpose of the role A great opportunity currently exists for a Senior Associate, to join our well regarded Commercial and Regulatory practice in Brisbane, specialising in front-end IP and Technology work .
Working closely with Vanessa Mellis, our Brisbane lead for our IP and Technology practice, you will enjoy a wide variety of commercial and regulatory advisory work and contract drafting suited to an experienced intellectual property, technology and commercial lawyer . We work with both public and private sector clients, including clients in the health, transport, education, franchising, research, data and technology industries. More about you We welcome applications from lawyers with: Strong experience in advising clients on research collaboration/IP commercialisation and/or ICT and data protection matters, with public sector experience highly desirable but not essential; Strong technical skills and the ability to deliver quality, commercial and pragmatic advice under pressure; Strong contract drafting skills including large and complex contracts; A strong interest in working for clients focused on research and innovation; A strong client focus and demonstrated ability to form enduring relationships with peers, clients and industry experts; Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment; An interest in and willingness to contribute to business development initiatives including presentations, client training and publications; Resilience and a commitment to excellence that matches our own; and Pride in your work and for whom you work.
