Construction Surveillance Engineer â€“ Fuel Farm
Planate Management Group is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, USA with a technical support center in the Philippines that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies. The Construction Surveillance Engineer will be responsible for providing management support to construction services such as construction inspection, quality assurance, monitoring environmental compliance and contract administration.
This is to support the work conducted by the Officer in Charge of Construction (OICC) Marine Corps Marianas (MCM). Work will be performed in Darwin, Northern Territory of Australia. This position is contingent to the award of the contract.
Key responsibilities: Coordinate requests from the construction Contractor for outages, excavation permits, burn permits, haul routes and other similar items Attend meeting, conferences and conduct construction progress briefings once every week for the Government Provide review of submittals designated for â€œGovernmentâ€ approval When schedules are submitted by the construction Contractor, the CSE shall submit written comments within 5 working days of receiving the schedule Review the safety plan submitted to the FEAD/ROICC by the construction Contractor Provide review of Contractor MEC submittals to ensure that they are in accordance with contract requirements Review the QC Plan submitted by the construction contractor for compliance with contract requirements Monitor construction work (including MEC prosecution) for project CQC compliance with the contract and Contractor-submitted plans Review Daily CQC Reports and Contractor Production Reports (CPRs) Monitor the compliance of the construction Contractor with the environmental protection requirements of this contract Work with the assigned CSET to complete, together with the construction Contractorâ€™s representative, the monthly field pay estimate worksheet for each construction contract Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. Qualifications to be successful in the role: A graduate of an accredited college or university with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture or Engineering (four-year degree minimum) Experience in handling fuel tank projects, essential Experience working in NAVFAC construction, a huge plus Minimum five yearsâ€™ construction engineering or construction management experience; construction technical competencies and qualifications to verify and obtain a specific level of workmanship Knowledge of construction scheduling methods and familiarity with the use of scheduling software, including but....
